1) Sunday, July 20: on plane
Early evening flight to Lisbon. Evening departure from Newark airport or or JFK, New York airport. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.
2) Monday, July 21: Fatima (3 nights)
Proceed to Fatima, and on the way we will stop to visit Santarem for Mass and to venerate the Miraculous Host (about 1hour from Lisbon, and one hour from Fatima. Proceed to our hotel. Welcome banquet dinner in hotel, and an early night of rest.
3) Tuesday, July 22: Fatima
Special Sunday program. Outdoor Rosary at 10:30 and Portuguese Mass at 11 a.m.
We will also visit the Fatima Shrine museum andexhibit. There we will see the crown and the attempted Papal assassination bulletwithin it. On Sundays, there is Eucharistic procession at 5:30 p.m. Dinner, and evening candlelight Rosary Procession.
4) Wednesday, July 23: Fatima
In the morning, we will visit the Hungarian Stations of the Cross. Visit Aljustral to see the homes the children. Then proceed to St. Anthony church, where the children were baptized, and the oldcemetery where Jacinta and Francisco were once buried. Then a stop at the Centro Commercial for lunch and to see a "religious super market." At 3:30 p.m., our group will have an outdoor Mass in the Capelinha, the actual place where Our Lady appeared to Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. or at another location. At 5 p.m., we will have a special Fatima video viewing in the Pax Hotel Auditorium. Dinner, and evening candlelight Rosary Procession.
5) Thursday, July 24:
Today we bus into Spain, upwards towards Santiago,
Compostella (Shrine of Santiago
St. James) to be there for the big feast day
celebration on July 25. On the (1 night)
way, we will stop and visit the beautiful Good Jesus
Shrine in Braga and also
Pontevedra, site of the First Saturday apparition of
Fatima. Then on to Santiago for
the spectacular world famous fireworks and light show
at the front of Cathedral at 11:30 p.m.
6) Friday, July 25: Santiago (1 night)
Morning Feast Day celebration Mass in the Church of St. James;, Oviedo Usually at the 10 a.m. Mass. After lunch in Santiago, at 2 p.m. drive to Oviedo. If we arrive in time, we will participate in a sung 7 p.m. Benedictine Mass there, followed by dinner and an evening walk in this lovely old city.
7) Saturday, July 26: Feast of Sts. Joachim and Anne: Garabandal (2 nights)
Morning Mass in the Cathedral of Oviedo. The face-covering of Jesus in the tomb is said to be kept in this church. It has a world famous Iconastasis behind the altar. After Mass we will drive at 11 a.m. (2 hr. ride) to Covadonga, a pilgrimage site, known for the Cave of Our Lady. The Basilica there is on the top of a mountain. It has a Museum of the Virgin, containing the magnificent crown with more than 1000 diamonds. Covadonga is said to have a miraculous spring. Depart for Garabandal at 3:30 p.m. (1 1/2 hr. ride) to drive during the daylight and to be there in time for dinner,
8) Sunday, July 27: Garabandal
Full day at Garabandal. After Mass in St. Sebastian's Church, we will have a Stations of the Cross walk up to the Pines, the site of upcoming Miracle, which Our Lady has promised will be the greatest Miracle of all time. After dinner, there will be interesting video presentation about Garabandal. We may visit the Divine Will center, or have a speakerfrom the Home of the Mother."
9) Monday, July 28: Lourdes (3 nights)
After breakfast, very early departure to Lourdes(about 6 hours away). On the way, visit Limpias (2 hrs from Garabandal) to see the Miraculous Passion Crucifix which is often seen to come to life, and have our Mass and lunch there. Depart for Lourdes at 1:30 p.m. (5 hr. ride) and arrive there at 6:30 p.m.in time for dinner and the evening candlelight Rosary procession.
10) Tuesday, July 29: Lourdes
After breakfast visit the miraculous water of Lourdes for individual baths, and then our Mass at 11 a.m. In the afternoon, we will have a walking tour of the Basilica of the Rosary, which has the 15 decades of the Rosary depicted at 15 chapels. Then we will make the famous Stations of the Cross and of the dolors. The 14 life-size stations wind up the hill beside the basilica. At its summit before the great crucifix, pilgrims "kiss the
ground for sinners" in obedience to Our Lady's injunction to Bernadette. Participate in blessing of the sick, being blessed by the Blessed Sacrament at the daily 5 p.m. procession. Evening candlelight Rosary procession.
11) Wednesday, July 30: Lourdes
Our group will join the great International Mass in the underground Pius X Cathedral at 9:30 a.m. Then up the Pyrenees mountain to see the home of St. Bernadette. Visit the Boly Mill (birthplace of Bernadette) and Le Cachot (jail where the family was living when Our Lady appeared), as well as the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. Afternoon video presentation on the life of Bernadette. Time permitting, visit to the local St. Padre Pio Centerand/or the St. Maximilian Kolbe Center. Evening candlelight Rosary procession.
12) Thursday, July 31: Zaragoza (1 night)
Morning Mass in the miraculous Grotto of Massabielle and then we proceed on to Zaragoza (about a 4-hour drive) to see the place of the first bi-location of Our Lady to St. James, the apostle, and brother of the beloved disciple. This ride is one of the most scenic mountain rides in the world, and I have been many places! You will be impressed. In Zaragoza, a pillar where the Blessed Mother stood remains, and to this day, it emanates a wonderful fragrance for all to Experience. We may concelebrate a second Mass today for world peace in this impressive Basilica, that had been bombed, but the bombs did not detonate. Time permitting, we will visit the Santa Engracia
Basilica, where the tombs of many martyrs can be seen.
13) Friday, August 1: Avila (1 night)
On the way to Avila, we will stop at the historic shrine of the Valley of the Fallen (4 hr. drive) to see the impressive underground Cathedral and to take the optional cable car to the cross on the top of the mountain. Then we proceed on to Avila, for Mass there in the Convent of the Incarnation, famous as the location of the transverberation of the heart of St. Teresa by the angel (about a 1 1/2 hour drive) arriving in time for our 4 p.m. Mass and a visit to the museums there. We will see the convent and shrine where St.
Teresa of Avila lived, and also visit St. Joseph’s Church in the town of Avila.
14) Saturday, August 2: Fatima (3 nights)
Morning in Avila, after which we proceed to Alba deTormes to see the incorrupt heart and arm of St. Theresa of Avila, and where her body lies in effigy. Afternoon bus ride to Fatima for the evening candlelight Rosary procession.
15) Sunday, August 3: Fatima
Free morning for some spiritual time in Fatima. In
the late afternoon, we will visit the city of Ourem where the children were imprisoned, and visit the new historical Queen of the World site and the historical Ourem museum.
We will have a castle banquet and a presentation of the spiritual history of Portugal in the Castle of Ourem.
16) Monday, August 4: Fatima
In the morning, we will depart to visit beautiful Nazare, site of Our Lady of Nazareth Shrine for Mass and to visit the world famous seaside resort area there (bring your bathing suit). Time permitting, stops at Bathalha, one of the most beautiful gothic monuments in the world, or Alcobaca, the historic monastery which once housed 1000 monks. Return to Fatima for our farewell banquet and the final evening candlelight Rosary procession.
17) Tuesday, August 5: Fatima
We will depart for Lisbon early in the morning to the airport for our flight to the US, arriving there in the afternoon on the same day.
