Itineary is for 2008, 2009 will be similar.

Day 1) Tuesday, April 22: on plane
Early evening flight to Lisbon. Departs from Newark or JFK airport. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

Day 2) Wednesday, April 23: Fatima (6 nights)
We arrive in Lisbon and visit St. Anthony's church the birthplace of St.
Anthony. Proceed to Fatima, and on the way we will stop to visit Santarem to venerate the Miraculous Host (about 1 hour from Lisbon, and one hour from Fatima). We will arrive in Fatima where we will visit the church of St. Anthony there, where the children were baptized, and the old cemetery where Jacinta and Francisco were once buried. Then a stop at the Centro Commercial Fatima for lunch and to see a “religious super-market.” Proceed to our hotel, (only one block away from the Basilica) for our welcome banquet dinner and an early night of rest.

Day 3) Thursday, April 24: Fatima
(mini-train) Today we will visit the village of Aljustral to see the homes
of the three holy children, and the historical family life museum there.
After lunch, visit to the Postulation Center (Center for the cause of the
canonization of the three children) for a film and to see the pictorial
and historical museum about the lives of the children. Mass in the old
Adoration Center with the extraordinary “Miracle of the Sun” window.
Dinner in the hotel. Evening candlelight procession.

Day 4) Friday, April 25: Fatima
(no bus) In the morning, we will visit the Pax Hotel auditorium for a special
“Fatima” showing. Late morning visits to the two fine wax museums in Fatima. At 3:30 p.m., our group will have an outdoor Mass in the Capelinha, the actual place where Our Lady appeared to Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. Dinner in the hotel. Guest speaker after dinner.

Day 5) Saturday, April 26: Fatima
(bus) Today we visit Coimbra to go to the convent where Sr. Lucia
lived, for our Mass. We will visit the Shrine of the Poor Clares, where lies
the incorrupt body of St. Elizabeth of Hungary. Lunch in Coimbra. In the
afternoon, we will return to Fatima and then walk the Hungarian Stations of the Cross, followed by dinner and candlelight Rosary procession.

Day 6) Sunday, April 27: Fatima
(no bus) Special morning Mass in front of the Basilica. At 4 p.m., we will
walk over to Domus Pacis, the Blue Army “House of Prayer,” to see the only Byzantine chapel in Fatima. At 5:30, we will take part in the special Eucharistic healing procession, which takes place in the Cova de Iria only on Sundays at 5:30 p.m. Dinner in the hotel. Evening Bible study.

Day 7) Monday, April 28: Fatima
(bus) This morning, we proceed to Nazare to see the Shrine of Our Lady of
Nazareth, for our Mass, and to have lunch at one of the most beautiful sea-side areas in all of Portugal. Afterwards, we will visit the city of Ourem, where the children were imprisoned, and visit the new historical Queen of the World site and the historical Ourem museum. We will have a farewell banquet and a slide and live presentation of the spiritual history of Portugal in the famous historical Castle of Ourem.

Day 8) Tuesday, April 29: Home
(bus) We will depart for Lisbon to the airport for our flight back to the U. S.,
arriving in the afternoon on the same day.

If you are driving, cars may be parked at the Fatima House in Washington, New Jersey, at no charge, for the duration of the pilgrimage. On the day of departure going on pilgrimage, we will meet at the 11 a.m. Rosary and Mass at the Blue Army Shrine here and then we will park the cars at Fatima House, but please let us know in advance. We will be using a commercial bus or limo service from the Washington, NJ area, to go to and from the airport.

If you are driving, you may leave your car at Fatima House during the pilgrimage.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - Saturday, April 19, 2008:

  1. Retreat officially begins at 5 p.m. (Drive here or fly into JFK, NY, and further instructions will be provided).
  2. Dinner in excellent Washington, New Jersey restaurant (included)
  3. Following dinner, there will be a Rosary and dessert at Fatima House


Day 2 - Sunday, April 20, 2008:

  1. Breakfast on your own
  2. 11 :30 a.m. Mass at Blue Army Shrine
  3. Shrine store will be open between 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.
  4. Transportation to restaurant for lunch (on your own) and return to lodging
  5. Divine Mercy Chaplet and spiritual video showings at Fatima House
  6. Dinner at excellent restaurant (included) and return to lodging

Day 3 - Monday, April 21, 2008:

  1. Breakfast on your own, followed by 11 a.m. Rosary and Mass at the Blue Army Shrine
  2. Transportation for lunch (on your own)
  3. 3 p.m. Walking Station of the Cross/Rosary Garden at Blue Army Shrine
  4. 6:30 p.m. dinner in a different excellent restaurant (included)
  5. 8 p.m. Rosary meeting, social hour and religious video.

Day 4 - Tuesday, April 22, 2008:

  1. Breakfast on your own
  2. Depart for early morning Mass
  3. Depart from shrine for airport
