1) Sat., June 6: on plane
Evening departure from New York area.
2) Sun., June 7: Warsaw (2 nights)
We arrive in Warsaw in early afternoon and will visit the Cathedral, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Queen of the World, the Royal Castle, Old Town to see the area and view the historic film on Warsaw’s invasion. Then we will visit to the Church and pictoral museum in Zoliborz, where Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko is buried
(a local hero, priest of Solidarity, murdered by communists). His cause is being studied. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
3) Mon., June 8: Warsaw
Morning excursion of Niepokalanow to Franciscan Monastery (Saint Maximilian Kolbe). Visit to monastery, seminary, and school there. In the afternoon, we drive to Zelazowa Wola (approx. 10 miles away), birthplace of
Frederick Chopin, for a piano concert, and return to Warsaw. Visit the park of Artistic Performances. Dinner with Polish entertainment in Warsaw.
4) Tues., June 9: Krakow (3 nights)
Morning drive to Krakow, city of over one thousand buildings of historical and architectural interest, also called the City of Saints and Kings. Then visit the Divine Mercy Center called Lagiewniki, and the Convent of Sister Faustina. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
5) Wed., June 10: Krakow
In Krakow, where there are more than 70 churches we will visit some of the more important places, including the Gothic Cathedral, St. Mary’s Church, Old Town, Cloth Hall, as well as other interesting highlights. After lunch,
drive from Krakow to Auschwitz to visit the former concentration camp there. See the cell where St. Maximilian Kolbe died. Visit the International Center for Prayer and Dialogue. Return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.
6) Thur., June 11: Krakow
We will visit various famous places and churches in beautiful Krakow, including the historic St. Anne’s Church, the Dominican convent, St. Stanislaus Church,
St. Adalbert’s, and some additional cultural highlights. Tonight we will enjoy a Polish banquet with festive Polish dancers.
7) Fri., June 12: Zakopane (2 nights)
Bus from Krakow to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, the pilgrimage center for the Krakow region. Visit the beautiful baroque Basilica in Kalwaria, the Calvary
Center visited by our Pope when he was a boy. Then drive to Wadowice, to see the birthplace of John Paul II, and museum and house where he lived. We proceed with a scenic drive to Zakopane in the direction of the Tatra Mountains. Visit Fatima Church in Zakopane, dedicated by Pope John Paul II as a votive of thanksgiving for surviving the assassination attempt on his life. Dinner and overnight in Zakopane.
8) Sat., June 13: Zakopane
In Zakopane we will visit the beautiful hand constructed log church dedicated to those who suffered in the war, and see other interesting local churches.
9) Sun., June 14: Czestochowa (2 nights)
Today we will visit the famous and fascinating Zakapane outdoor market, selling many interesting local products, foods, and unusual craft items. Afternoon drive from Zakopane to Czestochowa, largest pilgrim center in Poland (5 million pilgrims a year). Arrive in Czestochowa in time for dinner and evening services.
10) Mon., June 15: Czestochowa
Visit the Shrine of the Black Madonna (Jasna Gora) In the Pauline Monastery where Our Lady is greatly venerated. Be present for special services. Dinner
and overnight in Czestochowa.
11) Tues., June 16: Lichen (2 nights)
Drive from Czestochowa to Lichen to see the huge and lovely Queen of Peace Shrine and Basilica, one of the most famous shrines in Poland. Dinner and overnight in Lichen.
12) Wed., June 17: Lichen
Today we will visit the Lichen Shine again and make a group Stations of the Cross in that majestic atmosphere.
13) Thur., June 18: Warsaw (1 night)
Morning departure to Warsaw on the scenic route. Stop in-route to see several old beautiful churches, Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.
14) Fri., June 19: same day
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and the flight back to the U.S returning to New York Area on the same day.

If you are driving, cars may be parked at the Fatima House in Washington,
New Jersey, at no charge, for the duration of the pilgrimage. On the
day of departure going on pilgrimage, we will meet at the 11 a.m. Rosary
and Mass at the Blue Army Shrine here and then we will park the cars
at Fatima House, but please let us know in advance. We will be using
a commercial bus from the Washington, NJ area, to go to and from the
airport.
Daily Itinerary
Wednesday, May 14, 2008:
1) Retreat officially begins at 5 p.m. (Drive here or fly into Newark, NJ, (or JFK, NY, but Newark is better) and further instructions will be provided).
2) Dinner in excellent Washington, New Jersey restaurant (included)
3) Following dinner, there will be a Rosary and dessert at Fatima House
Thursday, May 15, 2008:
1) Breakfast on your own
2) 11:30 a.m. Mass at Blue Army Shrine
3) Shrine store is usually open daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
4) Transportation to restaurant for lunch (on your own) and return to lodging
5) Divine Mercy Chaplet and spiritual video showings at Fatima House
6) Dinner at excellent restaurant (included) and return to lodging
Friday, May 16, 2008:
1) Breakfast on your own, followed by 11 a.m. Rosary and Mass at the Blue Army Shrine.
2) Transportation for lunch (on your own)
3) 3 p.m. Walking Stations of the Cross/Rosary Garden at Blue Army Shrine
4) 6:30 p.m. dinner in a different excellent restaurant (included)
5) 8 p.m. Rosary meeting, social hour and religious video
